Tom did you make any changes to your pro capture set up as a result of your recent activity? You did a good article a while back on your custom settings. Great photos.

My settings have the camera take 1/2 second of shots before I full-press. That has not changed.
What has changes is the framing dependent on the size of the bird.
Mike Lane experimented with Pigeons, a medium size bird but on the long side. Sitting in a blind where I couldn't move forward or back, I found the 300F4 a bit long for Green Jays, an equivalent size bird to Mike's pigeons, assuming that you want the bird taking off as Mike was photographing. However, if the target is bird interactions as many of my shots illustrate, the 300f4 was better but still I would have liked to be zoomed back a bit and did with the 100-400.
I have not looked extensively at the 100-400 photos yet.
