300 pro is a great lens
I will try to use mine more this year I think when I sit more in a specific place for the dragonflies .. the disadvantage is not having the access to zoom in and out .. otherwise there are not many lenses in the 4/3 system that beat this in terms of image quality .. besides that I think it gives better and more pleasant colors from the start than for example 150-400
but that is my personal opinion

I'm pretty sure you could strap a coke bottle to the front of a camera and make it shine You've got some type of additional magic going on in your images. I'm getting closer and closer to adding the 300 Pro. But I'm also considering the Panny 200 2.8. These cameras and lenses are small enough that I could carry my two OM-1 bodies in the kayak. One with the 100-400 and the other with the 200 2.8 when I get close enough.

also a great lens, I probably wouldn't buy either the 300 f4 or the Panna 200 f2.8 new, but I would look for nice used ones for much better prices.
I think I've read that review at least 3x I agree. They're both fairly old lenses so I've been looking at used. I've seen the Panny without the TC in Like New condition for around $1500. That's the way I would go because if I'm going to add TC's I'd just as soon stick with my 100-400. The 200 2.8 would be nice in those situations where I need the light gathering or I'm close enough to my subjects. I feel that lens would be really close to my Z 400 4.5 which I loved.
There are no Sea Otters on the SE coast of Vancouver Island. The otters seen in the ocean in this area are River Otters that spend a lot of their time in the ocean catching fish and crustaceans, which they also hunt in fresh water.
This mother Otter is keeping an eye on 3 of her 5 pups that she is teaching how to hunt.
