So this first one was a spur of the moment pic. We live in a desert and literally NEVER get fog. Yesterday, however, a thick blanket of fog set in and lingered all day long. As soon as I picked Calista up from soccer practice, I threw her into this gown and hauled butt up the mountain behind our house to do a few mysterious forest/fog photos in the last light of the day. These were shot at a very high ISO due to the dark forest/foggy atmosphere. I\'ve always had a \'thing\' for forests - they are magical places to me.
This is a portrait of my 13 year old son taken using natural/garage light. My goal was to bring out his skin texture and freckles and do a high definition black & white edit. I practiced some new techniques to bring out freckles and am really happy with the result.
My little 6 year old, Millie...
These last images are of Mary and her son, Ashton. I have a running history with Mary - I did her senior photos, maternity photos, a fun vintage shoot with her, snow pictures when Ashton was little, and now a few fall images also. I\'ve kind of taken her under my wing - she\'s a very sweet girl and has become a wonderful mother. I don\'t care how over-done the leaf thing is - I love it and will continue to shoot what I love.
Adding one more of my littlest one, Gabriel. He had his first haircut a few weeks ago and somehow, seems to be looking like a little boy all of a sudden and not a baby...
