A group of canada geese depart the icy water of the West Pond of Jamaica Bay National Wildlife Refuge here in New York City. The boca of he XF 500mm seems better than that of the already very good XF 150-600mm.

Hah! I get that, it can be chilly and/or damp out there. But you wouldn't have the adjoining Redwood forest without those conditions. The shortest route to this beach is an 11 mile rugged hike, so it has remained pristine.
New to me Viltrox 13mm f1.4 lens. It's pretty great optically and not overly large. I never really expected much from a 13mm lens at f1.4, but hey, you never know when it might come in handy I'm recovering today from eye surgery, so hopefully can get out and shoot more with it this weekend. Just a simple grab at f1.4 for fun.
