Interesting. I never had a problem with the RX1 AF, and I used it for many thousands of photos over about 8 years (and continue to use it). In decent light it was very accurate, but a little slow. In low light it had a harder time locking on to AF and was slow. When it did lock on, it was accurate.
I guess I just got used to shooting that way. The RX1RII's AF is the same, but noticeably faster. It makes the AF in general much better, but it isn't any more accurate from what I can see.

Looks like everyone is holding onto their RX1Rs. There hasn’t been any for sale on classifieds for months. I usually take my Rii with A7c. A7c usually sits in the hotel room. Not even sure why I still bring the 100-400 with me all the time.

Especially for the original RX1/RX1r's I don't see much point in selling them since they're not worth a lot now and they're incredibly useful cameras. If mine hadn't pretty much given up the ghost (it won't start up anymore, it just keeps trying unsuccessfully), I'd still be using mine occasionally. I love(d) mine.
As an aside, if someone has ever resuscitated an RX1 in a similar situation to mine, I'd be all ears.

I think this is true. My original RX1 (that I bought it 2014) has several problems - the flash doesn't fire, manual focus doesn't work, the internal battery doesn't hold a charge, the on/off switch is very stiff, the EVF doesn't always work, and various error messages. I've used the sh*t out of it.
Having said all of that, it still mostly works and I love it all the same. I'd also be interested in knowing who could fix all of these issues as I'd really like to keep it (alongside my RII) for a long time. I've even thought about buying another one because as you said, they are fairly cheap!

What makes the x100v better than the Rx1r ii to you? The ii seems to have good af and the sensor lens combo is considerably better to me. Curious what you want added and what the Fuji has I must be missing. For me the Rx1rii only issue is that they’re still so expensive and not really available at a meaningful discount that I’ve seen second hand.

I really wish they would come out with an updated version. I really loved the original but now it seems like it makes more sense to get a X100V.
