There is a recurring AF problem I've experienced with both RXI & II. The power-up is a full 10 seconds before the battery level icon is displayed. If the AF is used within that time, it can freeze and pout until the camera is switched off then on again. I'm sure this phenom is well-known to many but could possibly address some of the AF complaints that have appeared on the forum.

Salmon fishing in the Sandfjordelva river on the Nordkyn peninsula in the far north of Norway. The RX1RII is my companion on treks like this when weight is essential.

Thanks, smpetty!
A few more variations on beach impressions from a pre-storm day in South Haven, MI. All blurring effects are in camera. Colors modestly pushed in post.

RX1 was my dream camera in 2012 but the price tag and fixed len stopped me to further think about it at the time and i totally forgetted it till now. I was looking for something small and versatile, almost buy a Ricoh GR 3x as i will start travelling soon after long lockdown. Then i recalled that buddy of mine got a RX1 that she kept in dry box for years and i make an offer....long story short, its on the way to me. I had sony A7ii and A7rii before, i have Sony A7c with 24mm f.14GM now which i use it mostly for documenting video on travel. So glad i found you guys here which still active. Most of the forum for RX1 are idle or dead after so many years. Dream do come true even after 10 years i guess, I looking forward to shoot B&W with my RX1. Any tips for B&W are most welcome and Thanks in advance. Stay safe and keep posting awesome photo. Cheers, Pock.

In spite of being an older camera, the color trueness in the RX1 is excellent. That already sets you up for easier BW conversion that will retain rich tonality. The dynamic range is also quite good, just take care not to blow out the highlights. Welcome to the group. It is a delightful camera.

well, i trust my buddy but its good, we can sort it out our self. What is the best solution to get rid the fungus or the cost of repair will be to high and not worth it?

Ask https://kolarivision.com/ if they do that. Of course you can contact Sony. Typically fungus is hard to get rid of.
