Agreed. I've been on the fence for a few years about getting one (I'd go for the original RX1 myself) on eBay but these and other photos in the thread are pushing me over the edge.

It is a lovely camera that - at least the Rii version - has aged well. Having the higher resolution sensor and the early version of face/eyeAF add to the already amazing lens and nice form factor. My only regret is not having gotten one sooner.
The most relevant comparator is the Leica Q2. The Q2 has a nice viewfinder, IBIS, and focuses faster - though not necessarily accurately and has somewhat more intuitive control placement, but everything else is equivalent (resolution,…) or is worse weight, form factor, ergonomics…or is much worse (lens, lens, lens, price). I thought I would love the Q2 and settle if I got an RX1Rii. Instead, I was very disappointed by the Q2 and loved the RX1Rii.

The RX1 and RX1R2 don't have IBIS. If either of them did it would be nearly the perfect all purpose camera for me. It's the thing I miss the most (aside from viewfinder) on my RX1.

My mistake. It has digital stabilization. This is fascinating to me, because my hands have a mild tremor and yet I get sharp images from the RX1Rii at far slower shutter speeds than with my a1 and 35GM…must be the weight difference. The menu refers to stabilization, so I thought it was IBIS.

While I’m on holiday and depressingly ill from a snotty plane passenger, I decided to (re)develop some photos from a previous trip to the south of Italy, and thought I’d share back to this small but dedicated group of rx’ers.
It’s an amazing camera, if I had the one with good autofocus, I probably we be using it as my only camera.
