Matt - these are excellent. Very inspired and inspiring work. About your light: you say dialed down, I assume you mean -2 stops? So you were just filling the shadows? What was your SS? Can these lights do high speed sync (i.e., faster than your x-sync speed?)

Yes, dialing down the flash for more ambient light. I think I was using 1/60 second.
It's all been said, but holy cow, these are just beautiful. It takes a lot of work to pull off something like this, logistically, time, planning, etc. Bravo!
These are beautiful and really well done! I do wish that the overall color temp was toned down a bit - I totally see what you're going for here, but even the dirt between the leaves on the ground is red/orange. I would love to see how it'd look with a bit more natural coloring. JMO of course, and I realize you are the artist here and probably had a vision of what the finished product was going to look like.
