Congratulations to Mark Metternich for winning Feature Thread of the Week with 4 votes - View Previous Winners
I took this about 3 years ago but recently decided to process it. Probabily a new favorite, but more importantly my painter mom says it is hers... Taken at Glacier National Park. I really miss Glacier. I went there every year for 20 years and used to tell people it was my favorite place in the world to shoot. Since I live in the SW from July until November doing the tours, I just can't seem to get there these days.
Sorry if my responses may be delayed by a week, I am wrapped up with biz on the road...
Hope you enjoy.

Beautiful, Mark! Love the spotlighting and you've captured some nice drama in the sky. Fields of fireweed? in the foreground provide another compelling visual element.
Yea this one sings perfection. I love how you just went with the best given comp vs trying to make it a more standard ratio. Amazing PP control of the rising clouds which are usually way brighter than any foreground. Your final product here is basically the only possible way to present this incredibly dynamic scene. Kudos to you. Inspirational PP.
