I’m building a Nikon kit for personal use and this lens looks like the best choice for portraits. Is there any reason to get something different?
I know the ZR being a video centric camera but the size is intriguing, how does it perform with stills compared to a Z photo camera?
I really appreciate how small and light the ZR is. I love the SOOC JPEGs, colours, image stabilization, and resolution all work superbly. It's my second body to Z8 and it balances well with small lenses like Viltrox 14mm, Tamron 20mm, Samyang 24mm, Nikon F1.8 S lenses. Amount of details such a small setup resolves is just amazing.
I like how minimalist it looks, I have added my most used settings in MY MENU page in settings.
I am sure Nikon will keep working on improving this camera with firmware updates.
I now carry both Z8 and ZR in my backpack and have separate lenses attached to them, it gives me 2 different perspectives.
I am not a big video shooter myself and mostly take photos with it.
