Thanks a lot! I took this in Whitefish Point last week.
Pennsylvania is a state full of interesting locations. while on a cruise recently i stopped by a location called the Eckley Miners Village. this is a historic site but also served in the making of the of the film "The Mollie Mcguires" in 1970.
just an image of the scaled down coal breaker built and used in the film still somewhat standing. somethings last.
the second shot is the original town street (used in the film). not a set. this is as it was when the town was built for the real mine. people still live here in a few buildings to this day. essentially if it's got a mailbox its someone's domicile.
It was what is referred to as a severe clear day. Every bit of sunlight was ready for use and then some.Yep I do shoot down in the lower register when I can.
My mom is from a nearby town. Been there a few times. I shot there last summer on a family visit. It is a little out of the way for sure. You captured the feel of the place exceptionally. I recommend doing BW conversion too.
