A heartbreaking week here...our beloved Louie was found deceased by a neighbor while I was away on a business trip. I took this photo of him on Monday just before I left. It was rare he'd sit still when a camera was close, opting instead to run over for some love.
He came with our house and we are so happy he adopted us while he was here for the last 5 years. Anyone who has had an orange boy will know what huge personalities they tend to have, and Lou was no exception.

I’m so sorry for your loss of such a handsome boy. We have two kittens that we rescued last month. They are already a part of the family.

Scott, I just read about your loss and wish to offer my heart felt sympathy. Over the past several years my wife and I have emerged ourselves in the cat rescue community and have several ourselves including a few "orange boys", they are indeed special. I know well what you mean and must be feeling and wish you well.
Douglas.

Thank you Douglas, and good on you and the missus for helping the rescues!

Rummaging through my dry boxes looking for something, I found a lens I forgot I had! The ancient Nikkor 55 1.2S F mount. This was before they did the AI thing.
So of course to make sure it stll worked, I snapped a pic of Riley w it. ISO 10,000 @ 1.2 on my Z7. And yes I left all the color fringing intact - did not try to fix it!
