I love the colors and the light in this one. And that Ultron has been on my mind for years.
Thanks. Huss (desmolicious) talked me into trading in the newest version for the 2nd newest which is half the size. It's fantastic on my FM3a and adapts to the Zf with way less bulk. The only downer is it doesn't have close focus built in, you have to add a filter, but that's a small price to pay. No matter which version you get, just get one. It's my favorite Voigtlander ever. Color, sharpness, character and contrast are just off the charts.
Couple more Zf + 40 Ultron shots, color is a LR recipe I've been working on and the mono is a Flexible Picture Control I made and is SOOC.

Digging the colors and character in the photo. Seems like a lovely lens.
Funny enough I took the original pic in mono as I was out and about testing a picture control, but when I saw the color RAW I figured it would be better that way
Yes I had both at the same time. I didn’t keep my A/B samples but I greatly preferred the output of the Ultron and sold the Nokton. The close focus ability was icing on the cake.
The 1.2 has way too much LoCA for my taste and doesn’t clean up till f2, where I already liked the Ultron more.

Scott, have you by any chance had the occasion to compare with the 40z 1.2?
Lovely. May I ask what grain settings you're using?

Enjoying the new Zf film grain feature so much, my stylized jpegs are FINALLY missing that bit extra that Fuji had over them. Ultron 40.
