I was told by my AD that Fujifilm ends in fiscal year on March 31 (I confirmed that part), and because they have sold so many cameras already they stopped shipping x100VI's as they had already met their numbers in order to keep sales numbers high into the next fiscal year as well. Ergo, shipments of x100VIs will begin again on April 1.

I am still waiting for my unit as well.
Sony is actually doing the same thing. The A1s are out of stock at most of the smaller shops and they're just sitting in the warehouse until next week.

Recieved mine 2 weeks ago and returned it already. Not going to like its definitely overrated.
What didn't you like about it? I'm curious because I've never tried an X100 series camera. The main complaints I've heard so far are about the slow focusing lens and poor ergonomics, making it hard to grip the camera.
Slight tolerance difference in hotshoes.
Brief recap. I ordered the silver with a 1004pm PST confirmation when I really wanted the black- 1008 confirmation. Got the email a couple weeks ago saying I would be a March delivery for the black. Received it Friday- had a screen protector and accessories ready to go which I always do first thing because it's easier. Started RMA for the silver back to BH.
The Lensmate thumb grip fits snugly but perfectly in my x100v, and the silver x100vi. It almost doesn't fit in the black x100vi. I don't want to force anything. With a flash or actual things meant to go in the hotshoe-- no problem. Anyone else having a thumb grip issue? There is definitely a tolerance difference between my two copies. It wouldn't take much to make it feel too snug. I always err on the side of caution and maybe I'm being too cautious with this. (the play in the side door seems pretty much identical).

The Lensmate thumb grip from the 100V fits fine on my black 100VI, but I have to be very careful to keep the grip's hotshoe portion perfectly lined up with the camera's hotshoe rails when putting it on.
i was selling for like 50 buck over what I paid with tax and people were giving me crap. I was just profiting for the effort I was going through. I said screw it

Honestly It shouldnt be 40Mp. it shows the flaws of the lens too much. Not worth it for me. and the F2 lens looks like an F3 full frame.
I don’t know which thumb grip people are using but is there one that allows easy access to the wheel just below the grip. The one I used on the V made using the wheel a bit of a challenge.
Cancelled my B&H order with a late Mar 22 preorder. I think a IPhone15 Pro might be a better spend for me right now as my SE is getting a bit long in the tooth and a 28mm with a phone built in will suffice for now.
I’m kind of glad Fuji and B&H weren’t able to accommodate the frenzy. It gave me time to rethink my needs.
I hope all who bought and received enjoy their new toy.

Thanks. It didn't end up being a big deal but there is definitely a difference between the two vi's in hotshoe width.

I bought a iPhone 14 Pro using that same logic instead of buying the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 VII that I really wanted. While that iPhone takes good enough pictures, I found that the lack of controls, just didn't work as well as I had hoped for. so I then purchased a Sony HX-99, a really good little camera, but it has a very small sensor unlike the much more expensive Sony RX100 VII.
My preorder of the Fuji X100VI was made on March 20 at 10:am, I have no plans of cancelling this order. I hope your iPhone 15 Pro will satisfy you.

To me, it's definitely the experience of taking pictures. I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max which takes great pictures when the lighting is good, however, the lack of controls just makes the experience boring. Same can be said about watching videos on phones. Sure, it works but would you rather watch movies on a big TV or a phone? Once again, it's the experience.
I make more than 95% of my photographs using cameras from Canon and Fujifilm. (Actually, probably more like “more than 99%.”)
My main use for the camera on my iPhone 14 is to make simple grabs to share with friends, family, and occasionally others.
However…
I have, on a few occasions, used the thing to make “serious” photographs that I’d be willing to share electronically or as prints. I started opening my mind to this after spending a week photographing with a friend (who is a pretty well-known California landscape photographer) in the Sierra backcountry. He used his iPhone for a couple of serious photographic purposes. One was to make records of subjects that he wanted to come back to at other times. But the other was to make photographs that would be difficult or impossible to produce with traditional cameras in those circumstances.
These cameras have a couple of capabilities that are pretty remarkable. One is their ability to construct panoramas from handheld shots. Another is what they can do in extremely low light. In fact, your can combine the two to produce handheld urban night panoramas, even including people in the frames.
I don’t think that an iPhone replaces a camera — that’s certainly not the case for me. But they can do some useful and occasionally amazing stuff.
Besides experience, it's the distraction too. Imagine you are setting up a shot and right before you take a shot, you get a phone call taking you away from the moment. Or, imagine you are recording a video and you get a phone call. I see a phone as a companion to the main camera but it would never replace my main camera for me.
