I went back to my files from back in July that I had not processed yet. I found a series from my visit to Ucluelet up on Vancouver Island that I'm glad I processed. GFX 100S II, mostly the GF 45-100, and processed in DxO Elite 9, Photoshop, and Color Efex 8 (from the Nik series). This has become my favorite destination for medium format photography. The scenery is incomparable, the weather moody and evocative, and the entire area just exudes tranquility. I go back next week and will hopefully have more opportunities for imaging.
My Fuji "go to" combo Stuart!
These are stunning!
Just masterful photography shown here!
Dan
Might I inquire what "tool", if any, do you use to sharpen your images in postprocessing?

Thanks Dan for your compliment. I just use unsharp mask in Photoshop. I also sometimes apply the “fur details” effect in the Nik set in Color Efex Pro. I then greatly reduce that layer’s opacity and brush out the areas that I don’t want the effect on. It enhances details without being too excessive.

Whatever your workflow is it is WORKING most excellently(?) Stuart.
I have the NikCollection(7). I have had Nik since they were a small private post processing company, then Google, then DXO.
Again sensational compositions!

This is stunning photography for me Stuart! It is the template that the very basics of photography fundamentals is taught.
Just superb photography!
Dan
I was out yesterday with your combo and I was pleased with the results in very high sunlight. I am olde and things, aka "issues", become more frequent at this stage. Not everyone...just me.

The Curse of the Snallygaster!
The Snallygaster is a legendary, dragon-like creature from Maryland and Pennsylvania folklore, said to be a hybrid of a bird and a reptile with features like a metallic beak, tentacles, and sharp claws. Originating from the superstitions of German immigrants in Frederick County, Maryland, its name is a corruption of the German "Schnelle Geist," or "quick spirit". Stories describe it as a fearsome predator that swoops down to snatch livestock and occasionally people, and the legend was later sensationalized in newspapers, with some accounts even claiming President Theodore Roosevelt was interested in hunting it.

This makes me sleepy or maybe relaxed is a better word for the "feeling" this image provides. A great ending or great beginning to any day!

I've wanted to try out the GFX system for quite some time. I was a bit reluctant due to the cost of the optics, but once I found out I could use my old F-lenses I was sold! I do have one native mount lens (the 80mm f/1.7) on order, but so far, I've only used f lenses, and I really love this camera so far, these are from my first two mornings with it.
