You can imagine my shock when, on top of finding some excellent Canon lenses with the Fringer, I ended up with both the 28 Ultron II and the 40 Nokton f/1.2, both M-mount lenses, performing almost on par with a native lens once stopped down to f/5.6 and beyond...

I shovel my neighbour's sidewalks, she is on a corner lot. A little surprise for me this morning after last night's snow. Went back after I finished shovelling to grab a camera, happened to grab the GFX so I could send it to the city to fix.
One could say the pedestrians, cyclists, walkers were going too fast.

Very nice Dan. That lens was part of my trial kit. I had planned on getting it but a great deal on the 110 came along when I bought the GFX and thus the 120 went on the back burner.

Many thanks Robert!
Spring thru to late Fall is my macro time with the Spring and summer being the most often once all my flowers get to bloom.
I have a Fringer GF-CanonEF adapter and with the Canon 180, the 100s ii is wonderful. I was not thrilled with the Canon 100mm f2.8 IS Macro's image file..But I will retry..I think having the lens "IS" on along with the body's IBIS may have been too much.. I wasn't pleased with the files.
I have an EF-S60mm Macro I have yet to try on the 100s ii.
But it is a warm Spring day and the flowers are out and the lens just arrived!
Thanks again Robert!

It's been three months since I added the GFX100S II, and I think I am about 95% comfortable with the settings, and have customized the camera to my liking.
The remaining questions are concerned with the out-of-camera JPG/HIF files:
-- Are these worth recording along with the raw files?
-- If there is something potentially useful about the out-of-camera JPG/HIF, what are the best settings for landscape, city, and street photography?
I have tried PROVIA and REALA-ACE, and wasn't too impressed by the visual outcome.
However, Velvia (VIVID) looks promising. I like the contrasty look where the highlights seem to be well-retained.
Perhaps the shadows could be less dark. This makes me wonder if I should set D-Range Priority to Weak (it is OFF now)?
I believe that D-Range Priority applies only to JPG/HIF and has no effect on the raw files, correct?
Here is an example of an out-of-camera HIF file shot with Velvia and WB Daylight (converted to JPG for posting here), followed by a JPG obtained from the raw file using "From camera (Velvia/VIVID)" rendering in DxO Photolab 9 and some manual corrections.
The rendering in Photolab 9 seems to be warmer than in camera. ...Show more →
Many thanks for posting a "comparison". I am into1 year with the GFX100s ii. I have the settings down to very basic. The menus overwhelmed me to the point of frustration! Just me! I'm olde!
I use Nik Collection after editing in ACR, Br, PsCC

Thank you, this shoot I definitely tried on. The only set I really didn't like was a group shot in direct sunlight, but overall I think this ended up being a really good shoot. Danpbphoto wrote:

Many wonderful images in this thread - but not one where I would say: Wow, that must be a MF image. Could have all been taken with FF or APS-C. At least viewed on my PC.
