When I lived further east I did visit Corpus Christi area and the RGV a few times, would have loved to move to San Antonio instead to be closer to that area but oh well, TX is still a great spot for birds. This Eurasian Kingfisher was frequently preening in the 2 occasions I was photographing. A local informative local told me that the female disappeared recently. So, this male is currently by himself and I hope that he would find a mate before too long...
