I didn't know Guy personally, just from his online persona... but as can be seen here in the many posts bearing witness about what kind of person Guy was, he left a good impression on us all. That is a big win in the game of life.
"A good name is better than fine perfume, and the day of one’s death is better than the day of one’s birth."
When we are born, we haven't really accomplished anything to convey our character, that is why the above ecclesiastical expression is so telling.
Congrats Guy, you lived well and left us wanting more.

RIP Guy...based on his posts he had so much he wanted to do in semi-retirement between spending time with family, golf, and occasional photo gigs on his terms. To see that get cut short is really sad.

This is sad news. I loved his honesty about lusting for the latest lenses and cameras and his passion for photography. This leaves an empty spot on FM from a good guy. RIP Guy.

Ah, sad. I think we all have the ability to be better people and have a wider circle of perhaps unmet friends through contacts here. I enjoyed his posts and the Big Bronco. Condolences to his family and friends.

He led a very full life, and he seemed to greatly enjoy most of it. It is very sad when such an interesting and lively consciousness and presence is lost. He will be missed here and elsewhere. R.I.P.
