The tentative schedule shows it being on display in Omaha NE, Chicago IL, Buffalo, NY, Scranton PA, and Philly, with tentative stops in Altoona, PA, St Louis, MO, and Kansas City, MO. Possibly, the last 3 would be on a return trip since you can just about draw a straight line from Omaha to Buffalo and pass through Chicago, Cleveland, and Erie, PA.
Looks to me like it will at least pass through northern Ohio where I am presently located.
Steam comes through here at least 1 time a year for the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, but it's not a huge Big Boy like this one.
Apologies to the group - I know this is about photography and not trains. But we all have our quirks and steam is one of mine.
I witnessed something new today. A pair of Cooper's Hawks flew down to the creek and bathed themselves for 10 minutes. I've never seen this before and it was fun watching them give watch while the other would shake in the water.
