Gosh I love this shot!
Was it also taken with CV 40/1.4?
Thank ya! Yes, the 40/1.4. For the price this is a nice little piece of glass. I wish the MFD was a tad shorter so I could take food shots on a table but unfortunately it's something like 2.5 feet.
Expect more pooch pics I just spent an hour shooting her while I was unwinding w/ my Super Takumar 50 1.4.

get a helicoid adapter and you should have no problem focusing down to 8 inches.
It was the first lens I mounted on the camera. Luckily the postman arrived before it got totally dark, so I could snap at least a few shots with that Minolta bokeh wonder on my first day with the A7r.

Thank you very much Taylor! This is very helpful.
I was kinda intimidated by Adobe's instruction to use the same lens, f-stop, focal length, focal distance, etc. using a diffuser card. Your approach is much easier and your pictures definitely show that it's effective.
Well, their advice is good. :-) I mean I forgot about those parts. I've made profiles at different f-stops for some lenses, but for the CV15 mostly just made one at f/8 and use it for any shot.
I think perhaps in the past I've had trouble making profiles because I didn't put the lens at infinity focus or something, that can make a reasonably large difference.
I had gone back and forth on whether to get the A7 or A7R - I had the R on order and after reading one too many gloom and doom posts I decided that I wanted to A7. I had the R sold before I even received it, but in a twist of fate the camera was DOA. That meant a refund to the buyer and a return process for me. This gave me time to pause, reflect and look at this image thread instead of the dozens of other, mostly speculative threads. I got my head out of my @#$ and decided to go with my original decision. A few samples below, all with contax 35/1.4 Moral of the story for me?… stick to the image threads
Lovely shots and great looking lens ! Do you have full size shots ?
And yeah, speculation is a pain, particularly when blown up by bad will. Glad you are happy with yuor choice.
