Thanks for the feedback. Based on the results it’s worth a look (though I suspect skill of the photog has a bit to do with it!)

Thank you very much for your kind comment.

I use Power Retouche plug in for Photoshop for my sharpening. It is a little different in it's operation compared to Photoshop so, I can't really advise how much it actually is as far as % etc other than I use 0.1 pixel width. However, in Capture One Pro RAW converter, it does do a RAW sharpening pass before I save it to 16 bit TIFF for my last bit of work I do to it in Photoshop, but it is also quite a small amount.

Anyone with this lens tempted to jump up to the Z 14-24/2.8? Pretty sure I am going to go with this lens but wonder if i would regret not going for the 2.8. Thanks.

No. I like the ability to use normal round filters and my 100mm set of filters. Plus it is a great lens.

I might need to pick this up for those days I want to go light. Can pair it with the 24-200 and get some great shots overall.

Ferrara.
Its historic center, with its Medieval and Renaissance urban system, makes Ferrara a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Riccardo,

Great set. Beautiful capture of beautiful place. When the pandemic becomes a memory in the past, I have to go back to ITALY !!

By the way, what is your take on 14-30 and the distortion correction. Have you noticed negative side of it ? Also, how is the long end serving you ( I mean 24 -30 range ) on this lens ?

Luka

Oh, and I forgot to mention the BW of the last shot is wonderful. I love the tonality, and BW definitely works on that shot.

Thank you very much Luka for your kind and much appreciated comments
Hope you can go back to Italy in the near future!

Consider that I had the D7200 and the 16-80/2.8-4 with me, so I used the 16-80 for 24-30 mm (equiv.) range quite often. I used the 14-30 when I wanted to go wider.
Not many problems with distortion (auto)correction: a little bit of extreme corners' smearing.

Thank you! I added grain in PP

P.S.: all NEFs developed with C1 and then finally adjusted in CS6
