Still no information on when preorders will arrive in the USA on the 28mm SE ordered by itself (not in the kit). I noticed today that Lens Rentals seems to have it in stock, $23 for 7 days. A few have shown up on eBay by themselves, heavily marked up.
I'm in the same boat. No updates. Ordered it on Oct 13. Maybe it's stuck at the shipment yard Either way, I'm excited for it! The images on here are very promising. Hopefully it gets here before Christmas!

Just notified, my 28mm SE pre-order shipped today from Adorama!
I pre-ordered the non-SE version and am hoping it will ship in December, as the announcement suggested it might. If so, my plan is to pack a super-compact setup of just my 24-50, 28 and 40mm lenses for my Christmas trip.

I've been waiting for this lens to be in stock, but I guess pre-ordering would mean I can get it sooner.

I'm probably the only reader in this thread who knows what you're showing. Pity about the crop but I guess the corners might give the usual problems at this FL for a classic M lens.
Indeed, problems galore, even on aps-c Sony and Fuji, although I haven't tried a Zfc.
You're not alone, although my 35mm Summaron is the older LTM 3.5 version. And the newer little Voigtlanders I used on my Leica III aren't any better.
It maybe 'should have been' a lot of things, but it is not.
If you look at the MTF, this compact 28 outperforms both the 28g and 24g f1.8 variants (although the MTF's are calculated at different f-stops). I've been impressed by this images shown so far in this thread - and by the fact that the photographers know how play to the strengths of the lens' performance. With the performance of today's sensors, I'll take better performance over a one stop of light.
I had pre-ordered in July, and it just arrived ( from Adorama) on Thursday (Dec 2). Really like the size and performance of the lens so far. One of the downsides of the Z system - at least for me, has been the size of the lenses. I do some traveling/hiking and having a small set of lenses is important. I had been shooting an adapted Minolta MD 28/2.8 on my Z6 and the new Nikkor is a definite improvement in optical quality and it is smaller/lighter. Will post some images in the future.
