Dickcissel and Red Winged Blackbirds treated me to a few songs last Friday. At Ted Shanks Conservation Area in Pike County, Missouri.
Using a newish microphone, hot shoe mounted Canon DM-E1D on Canon R5 MKII and RF200-800 in 4k.

Raccoon foraging for food. The raccoon was going along a stream bank, checking for something to eat. It sticks it front arms chest deep into several holes as it goes along. Washes its front paws and legs in the stream. At Ted Shanks Conservation Area, Pike County, MO. Canon R5 MKII RF200-800 4k

I rarely get to photograph two Belted Kingfishers in a tree at the same time.
Last week I had a brief time to capture these two at Ted Shanks Conservation Area in Pike County, MO.

Testing out the Comica VM40 Mic. I really am liking this over others I have used. I like that you do not need any additional equipment for 32bit float. It has internal recording with 32GB built in. Also has an app to control if you want but is not needed. You can record direct to camera or put the mic in a different location which works with a receiver on its own or direct to camera. Nice if you want to get sound being closer to the subject.
The kit includes everything you need, even the dead cat is included. It is very light weight setup also.

Here is a 5 minute video of some Eastern Bluebirds and a few friends from my yard. All sound was also from our yard. I used the Canon R1 with the Comica VM40 mic. Edited in premiere.

I was watching this Belted Kingfisher looking intently at the stream she was perched above, at Ted Shanks C.A. in Pike County, MO this week.
She dove in the water, caught this nice Crayfish, took it downstream to a branch and prepared and ate it in one big bite!
Canon R5 MKII RF 200-800mm with 2X extender at 1600mm on monopod. Shot in 4k.

The Belted Kingfisher is taking a well deserved break from fishing in the video.
You can see her hair is still wet from the last dive into the creek in the video.
At Ted Shanks Conservation Area in NE Missouri last week.
Canon R5 MKII RF 200-800mm with 2X extender at 1600mm on beanbag. Shot in 4k.

Here is some footage of a Gray Fox and her kits. This was my first time ever seeing them in the wild. They are stunning. I used the R1 with the 100-300mm plus the 2x.

Green Heron Juveniles - first batch of the season
.
Due to illness in the family I have not been able to get out doing videos since the winter until just recently, nor have I been active in the forums that I usually participate in. It was really great to get back out there in nature doing some filming. This is the first video I've created and posted in about 4 months.
Cheers,
Rudy
Camera: Canon R5
Lenses: Canon RF200-800, RF 1.4x tc
Video Format: 4K60p, non-log
Audio: Constructed from Foley sounds due to loud nearby waterfall that made recording pointless. The birds that you hear are all birds regularly found at this location.

Nice Rudy!
Does not look like you have forgotten anything!
The video pacing was excellent, and I loved the two young ones chasing each other around towards the end. Great job following them. Sound as usual was excellent! Glad to see you posting.
