Continuing with the old cameras - I rebought my very first (and probably many people's very first) DSLR - the original Digital Rebel, and it arrived today. I likely won't use it much going forward, but I wanted a good copy as I've been collecting some of the more important cameras in my photographic history, now that so many of them can be had for pennies. This one's in very nice shape, and the rubber has already been stripped from the grip (I don't believe ANY still have rubber that hasn't deteriorated). Fully functional. I noticed as I set the date that I do only have four more years before this camera no longer can record accurate shooting time data (it only goes up to 2030).
Of course immediately installed the hacked firmware for all the extra goodies (as that's how I used it when I owned it from 2004-2006 before). Just had a few minutes to grab a couple shots - these both with the EF-s 15-85mm IS:
My Cooper's Hawks showed up again this evening. The male is the more skittish of the two and always tucks himself back in the trees. But the female shows up in front and beautiful.
